Roza Restaurant @ Coburg

This has to be one of the most enjoyable restaurant I've ever been in term of the environment.
It was like I've been brought into a middle of the desert culinary experience where we were welcomed into a fully air-conditioned tent with such a nice ambiance into it.

Shoe Off Please!

Practically we have to eat on the carpeted floor & customer have an option to have their orders to be serve together in large trays so they could share it just like how the locals do it. The portion were just totally enormous & i would really suggest if you have a small stomach just to share a plate between two person :)

customer were serve with a warm bowl of lamb soup as an entree

lamb madhgoot - aud12.00

chicken madhgoot - aud12.00
slice of chicken cooked with mixed spices & olive oil
& rice serve with rice, yogurt & vegetable salad

I would say that Roza is quite a niche restaurant as they only serve quite a limited offering on their menu; but their specialty will be definitely the madhgoots. It has such an african/arab influence on the dishes such as;

^^lamb stomach (kamoniya) - aud aud8.50
^^meat & chicken (zigni enjera) - aud14.50
- african zigni sauce (lamb pieces) cooked in; tomato, pepper, butter, herbs & spices & served with injera & vegetable salad
^^raga tuna - aud11.00
- cooked mushroom with tuna, tomaton sauce, butter & garlic

Cuisine : African / Arab

Mon-Fri : 8am - 12pm
Sat: 11am - 12pm
Sun: 11.30am - 12pm

Melbourne Zoo - Royal Park

It was a very beautiful day for a walk
The weather a sunny n warm 25C made it a perfect day for an outing & since Naz friend came over to Melbourne for a trip; Melbourne Zoo was planned to be a part of their itinerary :)
Me myself haven't been here & it has been in my bucket list for quite a time.
The place were thoughtfully created to depict the place/country where they originally came from; I'm sure the visitor will enjoy the environment as much as the animal attraction.
Prepare yourself for about 2-3 hours to spend inside..
Bring your food & have a picnic!

Yeay! Melbourne Zoo (X)

melbourne zoo entrance

the greenery & visitors (lots of schoolchildren actually..)

spot the lemur on lemur island!

King of the jungle & his pride

Emmy; Balqis; Naz & Eiy

This website by Zoos Victoria are really helpful if you're planning to pay a visit.
Basically there's three zoos managed under the Zoo Victoria which each place has it's own theme & attraction to boast with:

Tea @ GlobalVillage

Wahh...
It's been really a while since i visited anyone at GlobalVillage.
It used to be among the coolest place to hangout for my circle since it located in the CBD; quite convenient esp. for those coming from Clayton.
The rad things is... it's on 21st floor~
Basically you could see almost all the southern part of Melbourne on sunny days.

Got invitation from Effy to do some catch up.
She just got back from Malaysia collecting data for her PhD research.
I would say; we havent do this kind of thing for a very very long time
food + card game = a blast!

trifle!
fresh strawberries & bananas with vanilla custard

karipap~

Suddenly it bring back all those memories during our glorious days..
Missed those guys very much :(
